SESSION OVERVIEW:


Diversity is a major issue in any workplace. It is a wide umbrella that
covers gender, religious, cultural and disability differences.

This course provides:

* an introduction to the issues.
* tools for identifying,
understanding and approaching a diverse workplace, including less obvious facets of diversity, such as cultural difference and people with a less apparent dissability.

SESSION CONTENT

* defining ‘diversity’
* understanding gender, ability, cultural and religious differences
* how to develop that understanding in the workplace
* how to harness diversity and make it work positively in the workplace

LEARNING OBJECTIVES & OUTCOMES:

As a result of this course, the participants will:

* have a solid understanding of the practice of EEO,
* know how to successfully integrate a diverse workplace and also
* know how to address issues of prejudice or discrimination.



RECOMMENDED FOR:


* Supervisors and managers with an interest in harnessing the potential workplace
diversity provides.
